Local Resources Program Agreement with the City of Torrance and the Water Replenishment District of Southern California for the Groundwater Reliability Improvem
NOD - Notice of Determination
Present Land Use
GP Designation: LI, Zoning: Industrial Planned Development
The proposed project would offset the current use of imported water with a combined total of 21,000 acre-feet per year for groundwater replenishment in the Central Basin via the Montebello Forebay. An Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) plant would be constructed for treatment of tertiary treated recycled water from San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant prior to recharge via spreading. Influent/effluent diversion structures would connect the AWT plant to the existing outfall pipeline allowing advanced treated water to be blended with tertiary treated recycled water prior to spreading. Additionally, a brine line would be constructed from the AWT plant to connect with an existing sewer pipeline in Beverly Road.
