Document Description
The proposed project consists of adoption of an update to the City of Calimesa General Plan and an update to the Zoning Code to ensure conformance with the updated General Plan. The updated City of Calimesa General Plan would replace the existing General Plan, which was originally adopted in 1994. The updated General Plan will be based on the City's currently adopted General Plan, but will be tailored to include sustainable community goals, policies, and action items. No changes are proposed to the existing Land Use or Circulation maps. The proposed General Plan consists of the seven required elements (land use, transportation, housing, conservation, open space, noise, and safety) as well as two optional elements (air quality and sustainability).
