Document Description
The purpose of the proposed project is remedy structural seismic design deficiencies of the 23 bridges allowing the bridges to withstand seismic movement in the transverse direction during a Maximum Credible Earthquake (MCE). DWR has determined that all of the bridges' retrofits would require installing seat extenders and shear keys at abutments and some piers. Additionally, two of the bridges (at Ranchero Street and Maple Avenue) require replacement of the deck.
