Document Description
The project is between the cities of Arcata and Eureka. The project is located at 14th Street on the east side of Highway 101 in Arcata at "D" Street. The City of Arcata has a 12-inch diameter asbestos cement pipe (ACP) that is adjacent to the City of Eureka's 24-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) at 14th Street. The connection is simple and would include the installation of approximately 20 feet of 12-inch DIP pipe, a 12-inch gate valve and water meter. The city of Eureka's 24-inch concrete pipe is adjacent to the City of Arcata's 12-inch ACP at the proposed intertie location. The connection requires transitions from 24-inch to 12-inch piping, and a meter to measure the amount of water diverted to each system.
