Document Description
The Project will install 374 feet of conduits underground, across the Chowchilla river. One 1.25-inch and two 2-inch conduits will be installed using the "plow method." The plow method will use a D6 Catapillar to plow a 3- to 4-inch wide trench across the river. The conduit will be laid as soil is lifted by the plow, the soil will subsequently fall back into place as the plow passes. At each end of the plowed section, 8-inch by 8-inch or 10-inch by 10-inch metal pedestals will be installed by use of a backhoe.
