Document Description
The proposed geologic/geotechnical exploration includes excavating approximately 4 backhoe test pits along the road alignment. The pits will be approximately 12 feet long, 3 feet wide and 15 feet deep. The test pits will be logged by a PGS geologist and will be shored if necessary in order tocollect geologic attitudes and soil samples. If it is determined that additional data is needed, additional backhoe test pits may be excavated, mapped, logged and sampled. The Manzanita brush and shrubs also need to be cleared in order to allow for backhoe access.
