Document Description
UC Davis will conduct a research project in Marin County to test stormwater runoff at 48 active pasture sites on three dairy ranches. Each site is ~10 feet by 3 feet and involves the insulation of a runoff collector on the surface of the soil. Above the runoff collector, pasture greases are allowed to grow with the research protocol applying varying concentrations of manure on the test plot. These runoff collectors will be removed after the second storm season and the pasture land will be returned to full farming operations including pasture management and dairy cattle grazing.
