Document Description
Remove 28 historic windows for rehabilitation, put temporary windows in place, and reinstall the historic windows in the Boyes House (residence 1) in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park to keep water and cold air out of the residence. Work will remove the historic windows, number and catalog them, store them securely in the attic of the Boyes House, install new vinyl windows by placing them in the existing casing channel, weatherized, and secured with the original exterior trim boards. The temporary windows will be painted the same color as the outside trim. When the original wooden windows have been fully rehabilitated they will be reinstalled.
