Document Description
IKEA Property Inc. has filed an application to permit the development of a new IKEA retail store on an approximately 23 acre site in the City of Burbank. The project involves the construction of a new 470,000 sf IKEA retail store for the sale of furniture and home furnishings on an approximately 23-acre site in the City of Burbank. The IKEA Retail Store will consist of 174,000 square feet of retail showroom area, and 296,000 square feet of warehouse and ancillary space. The City Council adopted a resolution vacating a portion of S. First St. & E. Cedar Ave. lying south of E. Providencia Ave. and introduced an ordinance approving Planned Development No. 12-0006549, a Development Agreement, Development Review and a Vesting Tentative Tract Map.
