Document Description
The BHRCA is proposing the designation of existing and new trails as the Park to Playa Trail, a comprehensive system of developed trails that would connect various recreational areas and facilities, the Baldwin Hills area to the beach, through the Ballona Creek Bike Path and Marvin Braude Bike Path. As part of the project, the designated 7-mile trail alignment would be improved the resurfacing, widening, and realigning of exiting trails; by providing fencing, way finding sings, and trailhead facilities (i.e., information kiosk, shady structures, benches, bike racks, and (trash cans); landscaping with native plants and restoring habitat in disturbed areas adjacent to the trail; and reconstructing sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and a drainage channel.
