Document Description
Project purpose is to reduce sediment contributions to Blackhawk Canyon Creek by upgrading 26 features and decommissioning 16, over 4.13 miles of road and trail including 1.15 miles of road-to-trail conversion. This will prevent an estimated 6,745 yd of road-related sediment from entering the creek. Work will be conducted in Blackhawk Canyon Creek, which is a headwater tributary to the Bodfish Creek watershed. Bodfish Creek is tributary to Uvas Creek, which is tributary to the Pajaro River before emptying into the Pacific Ocean. The general project vicinity is at -121.700026 W/37.0005617 N, in Township 11S, Range 03E, Section 6 and Township 11S, Range 02E, Section 1 of the USGS 7.5 minute Mount Madonna Quadrangle as depicted in Exhibit A, Project Location Map, which is attached and made part of this agreement by this reference. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2014-0287-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Santa Clara County Department of Parks and Recreation.
