Document Description
The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, Monterey Peninsula Water Management District. To provide for gravel augmentation for steelhead spawning habitat, 1,500 tons of clean, river-run, 1.5 to 4.0 inch gravel will be deposited in the Carmel River at three locations immediately downstream of Los Padres Dam. Work will be done in the summer and fall during low flows and after the spawning season when no redds are active.
