Note: Tiered from SCH# 2002102025 & review per lead The proposed project consists of dismantling an existing substation and construction a new, replacement substation, and altering the proposed alignment for the overhead 69,000-volt sub transmission line in order to accommodate the County of Sacramento's Hazel Avenue Widening Project. The existing Hazel-Timm substation at 4665 Hazel Avenue in the community of Fair Oaks, Sacramento County, CA, would be relocated approximately 600 feet to the north to 4733 and 4737 Hazel Avenue. The new, relocated and expanded substation would be called the Hazel-Sunset substation. In addition, as part of the relocation, the new substation location would include sufficient space to accommodate the future expansion of capacity from a single 20-mVA transformer to two 20-MVA transformers as electricity demand increases in the service area.
