Document Description
The Geary Road Improvements Project--Phase 3 is intended to improve vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian circulation and safety. The project would include a continuous, dual left-turn center lane; an exclusive, continuous bike lane and continuous pedestrian sidewalk on both sides of the roadway; and landscaping along the entire length of the project area. Traffic signals at Pleasant Hill Road and Buena Vista Avenue would be modified, and street lighting would be upgraded. Drainage improvements would include replacement of a 72-inch-diameter corrugated metal drainage pipe under Geary Road with an underground concrete pipe, replacement of drainage ditches with an underground concrete drainage pipe, and construction of a series of bioretention planting areas and bioretention swales.
