Document Description
The project is comprised of two elements: (1) relicensing the existing Fire Mountain Lodge Hydroelectric Project; and (2) dam safety repairs required by FERC's Division of Dam Safety and Inspections. The Fire Mountain Lodge Hydroelectric Project's license expired on April 30, 2010, and currently operates under annual licenses as the Fire Mountain Lodge Hydroelectric Project undergoes relicensing by FERC. The Fire Mountain Lodge Hydroelectric Project consists of a small existing earth and concrete filled dam, reservoir, penstock, intake tower, powerhouse, and transmission line. The project requires a Clean Water Act, Section 401 water quality certification from the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board). Conditions of the water quality certification for the Project include stabilization of the adjacent unpaved road to reduce erosion, installation of flow measurement devices, and minimum streamflow requirements.
