Document Description
The Project proposes construction of 3 infiltration/evaporation ponds in the northeast area of Imperial Valley College's campus adjacent to the existing solids drying beds, and will be part of the campus's existing on-site wastewater treatment process. Proposed ponds are designed to handle existing and future demand flows. The design influent and effluent parameters will not be changed from the existing NPDES permit. The purpose of this Project is to discharge effluent to land where it will infiltrate the ground and evaporate into the air instead of discharging into the Central Drain, which is a tributary to the Alamo River. There will be no residual solids created and no required chemical usage by or for this Project.
