Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code (#1600-2013-0066-R5) to the project applicant, City of Escondido. Project activities include dredging and excavating concrete and earthen channels and basins, clearing culverts and associated inlet and outlet structures, vegetation clearing and trimming, and clearing and grading access roads. Various methods and equipment will be used, including manual hand tools, mechanical hand tools, herbicides, a grader, backhoe, excavator, skid steer, and front end loader. Project activities will affect 74.24 acres of stream, which, at the time of notification submittal, consists of 0.81 acre Tier 1 resources (native habitats growing within earthen facilities or non-serviceable concrete facilities), 0.59 acre Tier II resources (nonnative habitats and unvegetated areas occurring within earthen facilities or non-serviceable concrete facilities), 1.10 acre Tier III resources (vegetated areas occurring within serviceable concrete facilities), and 71.74 acres Tier IV resources (unvegetated areas occurring within serviceable concrete facilities). Serviceable concrete facilities are those which have intact concrete linings and do not support mature native trees or shrubs.
