Document Description
The proposed Project will relocate an existing pump station, approximately 300 feet downstream from its current location, along the western bank of the Merced River. The pump station will consist of the pump itself and an access platform. Relocation of the pump access platform will require driving four steel piles approximately 15-20 feet deep into the river bed. Steel beams and expanded metal grating will be constructed over the steel pile to form an access platform for operations and maintenance of the pump. The platform will be approximately 8 feet wide and will extend from the bank over a portion of the active river channel long enough to access the location where the pump will be submerged. It is estimated that the platform will total 30 feet long.
