Document Description
The project is limited to the removal of one multi-stemmed willow and trimming two branches of an oak tree. The trees are growing immediately adjacent to and over the existing gas pipeline creating a potential hazard and preventing access for visual safety inspections. The willow and oak tree limbs shall be manually removed with chainsaws; all cut material will be hand carried to an existing access road for removal from the work site. To control the regrowth of the willow tree an herbicide shall be applied directly to the cut stumps with a hand held squirt bottle. Equipment staging and site access shall be from an existing access road and the work area shall be accessed by foot. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2012-0298-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
