Document Description
The project aims to stabilize 50 feet of shoreline adjacent to 6918 Pomin Ave, Tahoma, CA. Winter storms have undermined the shoreline and treatened to topple two large Cedar trees (approximately 4 ft diameter). The trees are on the shoreline wall and have helped stabilize the ground, block runoff, and provide an aesthetic view from land. The project will move boulders that have washed down onto the shore back into place along the slope. Additional boulders in the amount of 5 cubic yards will be added to the western side of the shoreline to match the heights of the eastern side. This action will help protect existing trees from erosion due to wave action. The numbers of work days will range from 2 to 10 days depending on weather. Minor follow-up repairs from winter damage will occur in June 2013.
