Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) plans to repair a section of 70 in Plumas County at (pm) 23.8, approximately 9.2 (mi) west of the junction of (SR) 89 (Greenville Wye). High flows in the East Branch of the North Fork Feather River have eroded as section of highway embankment, approximately 400 feet in length. And the slope is now within 18" of the paved roadway. Continued erosive action could result in damage to, or loss of, this section of highway. The proposed project entails reconstruction the embankment with rock slope protection. The proposed project is consistent with the activities covered in the (FRHHDPA) between Caltrans, FHWA, SHPO, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
