Document Description
Replace the access gate at the entrance of Coldstream Canyon in Donner Memorial State Park and install a new multi lock, 16' span metal swing gate southward to control traffic into the Coldstream backcountry. Work will:
* Excavate approximately two 3' deep x 24" diameter holes to set gate posts anchored in concrete.
* Level approximately 130' long x 10-12' wide of previously disturbed soil to create access road for vehicles; add weed free fill for proper slope drainage.
* Rehabilitate and retire approximately 242' of existing road east of the new gate location using full topographic restoration to eliminate vehicle access; cover with natural vegetative cover.
