Document Description
The Project is limited to constructing a system to intercept stormwater runoff from agricultural fields and route the runoff to two (2) sediment basins that will border the fields. The basins will overflow into vegetated filter strips before entering Little Morro Creek. Two (2) grass-lined waterways, approximately 15 to 20 feet wide and 2 feet deep, will be constructed to route runoff adjacent to the riparian vegetation of Little Morro and Morro Creeks. The waterways will empty into sediment basins approximately 75 feet wide by 40 feet long. The flows will overflow from the basins and flow over a vegetated filter strip to improve water quality in Little Morrow Creek.

Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15304 - Class 4
Reasons for Exemption
Stormwater runoff from the existing agricultural fields currently enters Little Morro and Morro Creeks directly. The Project will improve water quality in the Creeks by allowing sediment to settle out prior to entering the Creek, and increasing filtration rates of water to allow for more efficient uptake of nutrients by vegetation within the filter strip.
