EBMUD's existing 12 million gallon per day Diablo Vista Pumping Plant will be replaced with a new 16 mgd pumping plant at the southwest corner property of Mt. Diablo Boulevard and Mt. Diablo Court in the City of Lafayette. EBMUD's existing Leland Rate Control Station will also be replaced to the new site in a below grade structure adjacent to the new pumping plant. New water pipelines will be installed in Mt. Diablo Boulevard between Mt. Diablo Court and the Lafayette Park Hotel to connect the new facilities to the existing water distribution system. Upon construction completion and successful testing of the new facilities, the existing Diablo Vista Pumping Plant and Leland Rate Control Station vault will be demolished.
