Document Description
The District will conduct routine maintenance of its 41 precipitation gauges and immediate area around each gauge. Routine maintenance of the gauges includes graffiti removal, painting of the gauge housing, minor modification to the gauge housing to accommodate updated sensors, general cleaning of the housing, and instrument/sensor calibration, repair, and replacement. Routine maintenance of the area around each gauge will include pruning of shrubs and trees that may affect gauge function, mowing/hand removal of vegetation, spraying of herbicide (Poison Oak) in the immediate surrounding area of the gauge, and maintenance of a 10-foot wide path from the property entrance to the gauge.
