Document Description
The Fire Protection and Habitat improvement Plan describes actions that Marin Municipal Water District would take over the next 15 years to minimize fire hazard and maximize ecological health on its watershed lands. The Mt. Tamalpais, Nicasio Reservoir, and Soulajule Reservoir watersheds consistute approximately 22.000 acres of publicly accessible wildlands characterized by both high wildfire risk and high biological diversity. The 38 management actions described in the Plan were developed to meet four major goals and 16 corresponding objectives designed to minimize fire risk to lives, property, and critical water infrastrucutre while simultaneously protecting and enhancing the ecological values and funtions on District lands.
