- FYI Final 1 HC Conditional Use Permit CUP12-005 would allow the expansion of an existing dairy facility and bring it into compliance with Merced County's permit requriements. The existing dairy would be expanded to house a total of 5,600 animals, an increase of 2,225 animals over the existing 3,375. The proposed project would include reconfiguration of the existing dairy facilities, including the removal of two corrals, and the construction of a freestall barn and a 72-stall rotary dairy barn between the carrals and the commodity barns. Additional ancillary improvements would include an entrance driveway, a parking area with 40 spaces and two handicap spaces, landscaping, and a perimeter road located west of the proposed freestall barn.
