Note File Ref: W26664 The Project involves performing two studies in the San Joaquin River (River) as part of the San Joaquin River Restoration Program: A Rotary Screw Trap and Fyke Net Monitoring and Transport Study, and An Adult Fall-Run Chinook Salmon Collection and Transportation Pilot Study. The studies involve placing rotary screw traps and fyke nets at up to ten locations in the River, and up to 30 channel receivers in the River. The channel receivers are capable of identifying transmitter tags attached to adult salmon. A lease from the State Lands Commission is required to place these structures in the San Joaquin River. The State Lands Commission action is an approval of a 10-year General Lease - Public Agency Use through December 16, 2024.
