This proposed project involves the construction, operation, and decommissioning of a 100-megawatt photovoltaic solar power-generating facility. The project invludes a 677-acre solar site, an up to 3.6-mile long, 36.36-acre gen-tie corridor, and a 0.5 mile long portion portion of Munsey Rd (1.8 acres) for a total of 715.16 acres.
The project will result in permanent and temporary impacts to 683.7 acres of flow to moderate desert tortoise and Mojave ground squirrel habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of desert tortoise and Mojave ground squirrel, which are designated as threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act.
