Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-ORA-25756-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, Orange County Department of Public Works. The project is limited to the replacement of earthen banks with ungrouted riprap in 1,790 linear feet of Barranca Channel. Currently, the project site has an earthen invert, earthen channel banks, and sparse existing riprap; the existing riprap has been installed where the banks are sloughing down into the invert. The channel currently has urban runoff which will be pumped around the construction site via cofferdams and sump pumps. Project activities will be executed from, and the staging areas will be placed on, the existing County -owned maintenance road adjacent to and outside of the channel. Construction is anticipated to take approximately four months.
