Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0206-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Orange County Public Works. Project will redirect the low-flow portion of Santiago Creek where it poses a threat to an existing utility easement and East Santiago Canyon Road. The project will excavate a low flow channel across Santiago Creek to connect the low-flow portion of the stream to a historic low-flow channel on the west side of Santiago Creek. Excavated material from the new cut will be deposited in the creek to cut off flows to the existing eroding stream bank. It will also be used to re-establish east bank of Santiago Creek will incorporate large woody debris, live native vegetation wattles, live native vegetation staking, native container plants, and/or native seeding.
