Document Description
The site is approximately 17 acres and is surrounded by properties that are zoned for commercial/industrial and residential use. Commercial businesses are located to the east of the Site. The Site is bordered on the west by the railroad and the Los Angeles River, and on the east by San Fernando Road. The Rio De Los Angeles Park is to the north of the Site. Currently, the Site is vacant and undeveloped, and owned by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The RAW proposes a removal action at four (4) localized areas to address the Site soil which is impacted by arsenic, lead, and benzo(a)pyrene (BaP). The proposed removal action consists of excavation and offsite disposal of contaminated soil up to 270 cubic yards to achieve residential cleanup goals.
