Document Description
A bat gate within the main adit would be installed to ensure no unauthorized human disturbance would occur inside the mine while still allowing bats access. The mine has three additional features, two shafts and a second small adit that connects to one of the shafts. A chain link fence is proposed to be built arouond these additional features, but DFG will be seeking advice from the mine gate building experts before anything permanent is installed. If it is determined that some other structure would be better suited for protecting wildlife and the public than the better structure would be installed as long as it has no more impact then the proposed fence.
