Document Description
The improvement will consists of 1) construction of a new section of paved trail that will be approximately three miles long and 15 feet wide, located along the south side of the Arroyo Simi (Arroyo), between First Street and Sequoia Avenue; 2) construction of up to 28 new trail entries along the Arroyo right-of-way (ROW) at locations where the Arroyo crosses major streets, including new signage, removable bollards, swinging gates and landscaping; 3) new identification signage to welcome and direct trail user and provide information about trail conditions and rules and regulations; 4) new educational interpretive exhibits and kiosks to highlight and identify important areas and historic events along the Arroyo ROW; and 5) new furnishings and amenities along the ROW including benches, picnic tables, bicycle racks and trash/recycling receptacles.
