In Kern County on State Route 58 from 300-feet east of Gatson Street to the State Route 43 junction, Caltrans proposes to add 8' paved shoulders, add 2' feet of shoulder backing and install centerline and outside shoulder rumble strips. The project will increase the safety of motorists.
