Document Description
Using only State funds, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will place a chip place a chip seal on approx. 13.8 mi. of (SR) 44 in Shasta County and approx. 10 mi. of (SR) 139 is Lassen County. All work will remain within the existing roadbed hinge points and no work will occur on bridge decks. Specific pull-outs have been identified for staging and stockpile use. Description is attached. The pavement is at the age where a preventive type treatment will extend the service life of the road before it needs major repair.
