Document Description
The Project will include the installation of a 2-inch plastic main, servicing the West Island Cotton Growers Gin. The main will be located below ground along the northern shoulder of West Mount Whitney Avenue between the intersection of West Mount Whitney and Westlawn and a point approximately 5,200 feet to the west. The main will be installed under the Fresno Slough by way of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). The pipe will be directionally bored under the Fresno Slough at a depth of approximately 10 feet, for a distance no less than 400 feet and no more than 850 feet. At both the entry and exit site, a 3-foot by 6-foot by 3-foot bore pit will be excavated. The bore pits will occur no closer than 50 feet from the bank of the Fresno Slough.
