CDFG is executing Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2009-0104-R6 pursuant to Section 1602 of the CA Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Big Bear Municipal Water District (BBMWD), represented by Scott Heule, 40524 Lakeview Drive, City of Big Bear Lake, State of CA, 92315, Phone (909) 866-5796. The Project consists of the long-term routine maintenance of Big Bear Lake Reservoir and up to seven tributaries to Big Bear Lake Reservoir, and Bear Valley Dam by BBMWD. Big Bear Lake Reservoir is approximately seven miles long, averages one-half mile wide, and contains 22 miles of shoreline. BBMWD is a CA special district responsible for maintaining, managing, and operating Big Bear Lake Reservoir and Bear Valley Dam. Management activities include lake level stabilization, limnological monitoring, and aquatic plant control. BBMWD's primary goal is to maintain a consistent lake level to increase creation opportunities, improve water quality, and support healthy habitat for fish and wildlife.
