Document Description
The project consists of installing one high-load hanger pipe support on each gas line to ensure the pipeline remains in place and stable during peak creek flows. The hanger pipe support includes one piling installed 15' to 20' deep on each side of the two gas pipelines, attached to a pipeline clamp insulated with neoprene that will encircle the pipeline. Hand crews will cut and remove debris and vegetation along the bank and within the pipeline easement to ensure safe access, pipe line inspection and installation of the supports. A mini excavator and hand tools will be used to remove approximately 5 cubic yards of sediment from around the pipelines. The excavator will then pound the 11" diameter pilings into the ground using a sonic side grip vibratory hammer or similar tool. The pilings will be attached by hand to a plate that connects the pilings to the wall sleeve and the clamp, which will be secured around each pipeline.
