Document Description
The project shall excavate an approximately 14-foot long, 20-foot wide and 10-foot deep trench to expose an existing natural gas line for inspection. If slope shoring is possible, the width of the excavation may be reduced to approximately 8 feet. The project dig site lies on a gravel maintenance road adjacent to Calabazas Creek. The majority of the excavation will be within the access road; however, approximately 70 square feet (0.0016 acres) will be below top of bank. The pipeline may be repaired or replaced if corrosion or anomalies are discovered during the inspection. All excavation work shall occur above the wetted channel. SAA #1600-2012-0279-R3.
