Document Description
On July 15, 2014 the City Council adopted the West Oakland Specific Plan and related zoning and height map amendments and design guidelines. The West Oakland Specific Plan is a 25-year planning document that provides a vision and planning framework for future growth and development within the Plan Area. The overarching goal of the West Oakland Specific Plan is to reduce blight, attract new job-generating development, maintain and support existing compatible businesses and industry, promoting smart growth and Transit-Oriented Development that serves a range of incomes, encouraging mass transit and creating living wage jobs for West Oakland residents.
