Document Description
The West Oakland Specific Plan will guide future development in West Oakland. The purpose of the proposed West Oakland Specific Plan is to provide comprehensive and multi-faceted strategies for development and redevelopment of vacant and/or under-utilized commercial and industrial properties in West Oakland. It establishes a land use and development framework, identifies needed transportation and infrastructure improvements, and recommends implementation strategies needed to develop those parcels. The Plan is also a marketing tool for attracting developers to key sites and for encouraging new, targeted economic development.
