Document Description
The Safety Element updates the Seismic and Safety Elements, adopted January 8, 1976 and amended August 5, 1982. The goal of the Safety Element is to minimize human injury, loss of life, property damage, and economic and social dislocation due to natural and human-made hazards. The policies included in this Element set forth general and broad goals, policies and implementation actions that are intended to provide more specific direction to current and future actions undertaken by the public and private sectors.
