Document Description
The project entails demolition of two existing buildings (Assessor Block 836 Lots 1 and 5) and construction of a 39-story, 400-foot-tall residential building with 320 residential units. About 12,970 gsf of retail/restaurant uses would be located on the building's ground and possibly second floors. The project would include 160 parking spaces for building residents in an 84,000 gsf, three-level subsurface garage accessible via lift from a proposed garage entry on Oak Street. The project would also include improvements to the public right of way (plaza treatments) and a wind canopy spanning the site's Oak Street frontage approximately 40 feet above the street. The project also entails relocating the Municipal Railway's Van Ness station metro entrance from its current location on Market Street to a proposed location near Oak St and Van Ness Ave.
