Document Description
This is a request to establish an agricultural warehouse for the receiving, storing, packing, and shipping of sweet potatoes and watermelons on 74+\- acres. There will be no retail sales except for a proposed produce stand. Access will be taken off of N. Washington Road. The project will use a 5,500 sf pole barn, 1,200 sf office (converted from a house), and 8,424 sf barn for the operation. In the future, a 180,000 sf warehouse is proposed in three phases to be completed by 2019. The facility is planned to be operational 24 hours per day throughout the year, with 75 employees on a maximum shift and 10 - 35 employees on a minimum shift.
