The proposed project would involve the construction of a new 112,270 gsf Recreation Wellness Center building with an outdoor softball field, outdoor recreation fields, and an outdoor hammer throw practice area on a 7-acre project site. The proposed project would also include pedestrian street improvements along Winston Drive and a new pedestrian tunnel under Winston Drive. A minor revision to the Campus Master Plan would be required to relocate the planned Recreation Wellness Center from a site on North State to the proposed project site on Winston Drive. The project site is located in the northern portion of the SF State campus, north of Winston Drive, east of Buckingham Way, west of Lake Merced Boulevard, and south of Lowell High School.
