Bob Borba, the applicant, has requested Authority to Construct (ATC) permits to construct a third freestall barn and aboveground flushed calf hutches, and increase the dairy's permitted herd size from 1,30 milk cows to 2,000 milk cows and 200 dry cows to 450 dry cows. The proposal also includes adding 600 support stock (15-24 month heifers), 480 support stock (7-14 month heifers), 320 support stock (4-5 month heifers), 500 calves (under 3 months), and remove 8 (mature bulls), not to exceed a combined total of 2,450 mature cows (milk and dry cows), and 1400 support stock (heifers), and 500 calves for an overall 4,350 total head.
