Document Description
The Permittee proposes to perform a geotechnical and environmental field investigation at the project site. In-place channel linning is to be removed and borings are planned for two locations within the Los Angeles River. The dimensions of the boreholes are planned to be approximately eight inches in diameter and 30 feet in depth. Soil samples are planned to be recovered at five foot depth intervals. Soil samples will be tested for geotechnical properties and potentital environmental contaminants. The boreholes will be abandoned using termite grouting with Portland cement or cement bentonite grout.
