Document Description
The project is limited to replacement of an eroded bridge abutment consisting of an underpin foundation with two concrete piers behind the bridge abutment at the north end of a bridge spanning Bear Creek. Extant piers will be restrained by four drilled and pressure grouted tie-back anchors. A concrete grade beam, haunch, and new abutment wall will support extant abutments and bridge footings. Rock bolting and shotcrete facing will be installed to inhibit further bank failure of the near vertical north bank directly below bridge footing. SAA #1600-2012-0142-R3.
