Document Description
Pursuant to Energy Executive Order B-18-12 calling for a reduction in energy usage of 20 percent by the year 2018 for all state facilities, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabiliation (CDCR) is undertaking numerous energy savings projects. At R.J. Donovan Correctional Facility (RJD), CDCR is planning to retrofit existing lighting. The project includes the following components: (1) replacement of fluorescent lamps with more efficient LEC lamps; (2) replacement of 1000-Watt HPS (high-pressure sodium) high-mast lamps with more efficient 750-watt pulse-start MH (mental halide) lamps; and (3) retrofit of the 400 Watt HPS perimeter lighting with 320 Watt pulse start MH.
